If you are a full-timer or snowbird, you may be considering changing residency to a more favorable state of the union. For many, taxation is a major reason for wanting to part ways with their current state.
To assist in this venture, we have compiled a list of states without personal income tax and another list of states with limited personal income tax. For each state we have listed one or more mail forwarding services for the establishment of a permanent mailing address.
Important: Residency requirements vary by state and even among agencies within a state. Be sure to check with all relevant agencies of the state you are considering. For more information, see Changing State Residency.
